Cardio Vascular Training
Cardio-vascular training is anything that elevates the heart rate for a prolonged period of time. The heart is a muscle. When it works out, like all other muscles, it gets stronger. A strong heart means that it works more efficiently with less effort.
Before starting the cardio portion of your program. We will determine your cardio-vascular fitness level. After, your fitness level is determined. Your Target Heart Rate is configured using the Karoven Formula. Your target heart rate is where your body doesn’t have to create energy, but can run off stored energy. Stored energy is fat.
To start with, all you need to do is elevate your heart rate and maintain it in the target heart rate zone 10-15 min. 4 times a week. As your endurance and strength improves, slowly increase the time you spend in the target heart rate zone. Do not increase the intensity of the exercise.
