Vitamin D

Today because of the hi-tech boom and staying indoors more, many people run deficient on vitamin D. Vitamin D deficiency can lead to many things Rickets in children, Osteomalacia or bone death, especially seniors, death from cardiovascular disease, cognitive impairment in older adults, asthma in children and Cancer.
Symptoms related to vitamin D deficiency are muscle weakness, fatigue and bone pain.
High vitamin D foods like Salmon, Sardines, Shiitake Mushrooms and Eggs have many benefits. They can help prevent type 2 diabetes, insulin resistance, high blood pressure, heart attack, congestive heart failure, stroke, help prevent osteoporosis while maintaining bone integrity, regulate blood sugar balances and prevent chronic fatigue.
My brother the Fitness Nurse says that 10 min. a day of Sun on your face and hands would help tremendously. Remember though if your pale skin to avoid getting burned. Because you are more likely to get skin cancer.
My recommendation for this 4th of July weekend, go fishing for some Salmon.

Thanks for the mention Bro! Not sure how much luck I’d have fishing for salmon in the Chesapeake Bay, but the 20 minutes I spent poolside today should’ve done the trick!
